South Dakota Academy of Science is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all people, including those with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards wherever possible.

Our website, hosted on the Wild Apricot platform, includes a wide range of content, including all volumes of the Proceedings of the South Dakota Academy of Science. We recognize that this archival content includes older documents in PDF and other formats, which may not fully meet current accessibility standards. We are continually working to improve the accessibility of these materials.

Measures to support accessibility
We take the following steps to enhance the accessibility of our website:

• Regular review and updating of website content
• Using headings, labels, and alternative text for images where possible
• Identifying older archival materials that may not be fully accessible and working to improve them
• Providing a clear way for users to contact us with feedback or requests for accessible formats

Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA to the greatest extent possible. However, some portions of the website, particularly older archival documents, may not yet be fully accessible. Additionally, our site is built on the Wild Apricot platform, which may impose some technical limitations that are beyond our control.
